Job Summary

As an experienced Writer/Editor at Advent Media Group, you will play a crucial role in producing compelling content across various national consumer magazines targeted at their core audiences. You will be responsible for writing 40+ articles per month and editing all written content, ensuring that everything meets our standards of quality and adheres to AP Style guidelines. This position requires a creative thinker with exceptional client interviewing, story-telling, and copy-editing skills with a proven track record of producing engaging and accurate content.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct 30-minute client interviews.
Write 40+ articles per month on a wide range of topics and industries.
Copy-edit articles from freelance writers.
Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to AP Style.
Conduct thorough research to ensure the accuracy and credibility of all content.
Edit and proofread content for grammar, punctuation, and style consistency.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in writing and editing.
Provide constructive feedback to other writers and contribute to a positive team environment.
Communicate efficiently with the Creative Team to meet deadlines and ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience as a writer/editor, preferably in a fast-paced media environment.
Strong portfolio showcasing writing and editing skills, with a focus on AP Style.
Ability to write and edit 40+ articles per month.
Exceptional copy-editing skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent command of the English language, with strong grammar and punctuation skills.
Ability to conduct thorough research and verify information.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, or related field preferred.

Salary: $60,000.
