Job Description:

The Mid-Level Corporate Associate position at Ashbury is designed for corporate attorneys with substantial experience and a passion for emerging technology. This role provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth within an innovative, fast-growing law firm. As a mid-level associate, you will support partners and senior associates, and manage and train junior associates and paralegals, while contributing to high-impact deals for high-caliber clients. You will:

Take lead responsibilities drafting, reviewing and negotiating various contracts and legal documents, with training, feedback and support from partners and senior associates.
Oversee and support junior associates and paralegals in the formation of a variety of legal entities in domestic and cross-border contexts.
Project manage complex M&A, venture capital and other corporate transactions.
Directly communicate legal advice and strategies to clients.
Conduct legal research on regulatory developments in blockchain and emerging technologies and support the maintenance of Ashbury’s crypto legal ledger, a free public resource cataloging all significant legal developments affecting blockchain technology.
Author long and short-form content to begin establishing your own thought leadership and personal brand.
Gain general knowledge and experience on a wide range of legal issues that affect emerging technology companies, including tax, employment, corporate, securities, regulatory and litigation. We believe in training generalists well suited to serve outside general counsel for startups, hopefully as a future partner at Ashbury.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in California, New York or Massachusetts .
3-5 years of experience in corporate law for startups.
Am Law 100 or substantial crypto experience strictly required.
Ability to excel in an environment that demands perfection.
The EQ to strive for perfection while still creating a thoughtful, human experience for clients and colleagues.

Benefits:

Salary range of $182,000 - $230,000.
Bonus of $32,760 to $50,600 if associate bills 1,200 hours and firm meets financial goals, with a maximum bonus of $73,710 to $113,850 (see below).
Fully remote work.

With a combination of maximum billable hours and exceptional firm performance, annual bonuses can reach up to $73,710 to $113,850, offering substantial upside for dedicated and high-performing associates.
