Job Description

The construction/Real Estate project assistant is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, executing, and controlling/monitoring the scope of services, budget, schedule, deliverables, and resources required to accomplish the project objectives. This role requires interest in knowledge of process industry’s mechanical design, the review of engineering and requisition packages and material take-offs, as well as drawings and calculations.

Job Duties:

· Collaborate with technical staff and interact with construction contractors, their staff, and subcontractors.

· Assist in assembling reports, plans, specifications, and other contract documents and meet with clients to take detailed project scoping briefs and clarify the specific requirements of each project.

· Track project performance, specifically to analyze and control outcomes leading to the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.

· Attend project team meetings, both internal and external.

· Understand the design drawings of an installation including but not limited to Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical and Structural engineering.

· Adjust project execution schedules during construction to assure a prioritized approach for fast-track execution.

· Assist in design changes and additional expenditure within agreed limits.

· Prepare sketches and performs calculations for a detailed segment of a project.

· Participate in reviews of PFD's and P&ID's.

· Participate in the preparation of equipment lists, piping line lists and specialty item lists.
