Carmody is seeking an experienced litigation Paralegal to join the Firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense team and Plaintiff’s Personal Injury team. This position supports the delivery of quality client services by providing support to attorneys working in these complex areas.

Skill Requirements:

High level of proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Word;
Experience handling medical records requests and tracking responses from health care providers;
Experience with drafting pleadings, correspondence and claim statements;
Experience communicating with clients, health care providers and experts;
Ability to efficiently manage scheduling, calendars and deadlines;
Experience with tracking and following up on discovery;
Proficiency with state and federal e-filing;
Proficiency in Excel;
Knowledge of turbo-court;
Knowledge of trial director.

1-2 years of experience; Paralegal degree and medical training not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to manage assignments through completion with high level of organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work
