Role Description

Assist all staff with any assigned tasks and keep them apprised of your progress.
Assist with the inventory of items stored on and off site.
Run errands as requested, including picking up lunch for the designers.
Check stock and inventory of fabrics and materials for the designers.
Open incoming packages, write the designer and client name on the outside of the package, and update the packages log or make notes and report to the designer.
Keep a daily log of your completed and in progress tasks/accomplishments.
Empty and put away all samples in the basket each day.
Organize various sample areas, e.g. fabric book wall, fabric card rings, wallcovering drawers and cabinets, trim baskets, color boards, wood/metal/stone drawers, etc.
Go through all samples, check status, and discard anything discontinued.
When approved by the designer, attend client meetings, take notes, and observe.
Take notes for reference and clarity when being asked to complete a task.
Attend vendor presentations with manufacturer reps and observe the process.
Source and file updated vendor price lists and catalogs.
Assist with client installations when requested.
Request manufacturer representatives to update their samples in our library.
