Job Overview: This position is responsible for the daily operations of lease facilities in order to minimize expenses and downtime and maximize production.

Essential Functions:

Perform operation check of assigned wells and related equipment and facilities daily
Ensure all equipment is maintained according to company compliance and integrity standards
Notify supervisor of required maintenance to be carried out by external service providers
Supervise contractors providing repairs and maintenance to equipment
Ensure accuracy of run tickets by checking gauges and tests; enter gauges, tests and production on a daily basis into Scout
Help maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory, environmental and safety regulations
Maintain positive relationship with surface owners as well as local, state and federal representatives
Identify areas for continuous improvement to well site facilities
Provide all necessary reports to supervisors as scheduled and upon request
Ensure that procedures for the safe execution of tasks are in place and adhered to
Work with production and engineering teams to control costs related to well sites and facilities
Participate in company safety programs and training
Responsibility and authority to stop unsafe work on company locations

Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required
At least 5 years of experience operating horizontal wells, preferably in the Midland Basin
Acquainted with all well site and production equipment, compressors, systems and process control systems
Ability to trouble shoot wellsite equipment and tank batteries when equipment is not functioning properly or efficiently
Quick and accurate data entry skills are required
Must take initiative to independently solve problems when able and report unresolved problems to supervisor
Must be accountable for well sites included on assigned route
Communicate clearly to other employees, supervisors and external parties
Basic to Intermediate proficiency operating a computer, including Microsoft Outlook and Scout production software
Basic math skills
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Schedule: This is a full-time position and typical work hours are 10 hours per day. The schedule for this position consists of 10 days on and 4 days off. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
