Key Responsibilities:

Support the development team to ensure the successful progression of projects from land acquisition through commencement of construction
Draft, distribute, and track service agreements, RFP's, and contractsas part of the due diligence process ensuring completion of the document life cycle.
Track milestone dates and deadlines ensuring contract compliance and strict adherence to deadlines.
Maintain strict compliance to filing standards
Create, update, and maintain contract templates and guidelines to ensure efficiency and consistency across projects
Complete various applications, forms, and documents on behalf of the development team
Research zoning regulations, permit requirements, and other regulatory considerations that will affect project feasibility
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take notes

Education:

Experience:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the construction industry.
Experience with real estate transactions, contracts, and entitlements is highly desirable.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of real estate transactions, contracts, and entitlements as it relates to real estate acquisition and project development.
Exceptionally organized, detail oriented, coachable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Takes initiative, demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carries multiple projects through to completion.
Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on phone and in person.
Has strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
Is versatile and flexible with the ability and willingness to take on new responsibilities and tasks as requested
Can work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work, and ask questions when necessary.
Works under pressure with tight time constraints and has the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
