We are currently expanding our HVAC installation department and looking for the right candidates to help continue a legacy of excellence. We are looking to hire both early career tradespeople (0-5year experience) and established HVAC lead installers (5+ years of experience). Both positions qualify for our new incentive program designed specifically for installation crew members.

Job Overview:

Harley’s Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking HVAC lead installers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, including working on residential replacements and system upgrades. You will be responsible for leading installation projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and guiding a team of technicians to deliver exceptional service to our customers. This will be a hands-on, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the installation of HVAC systems for residential projects.
Participate in all phases of installation, including reading blueprints, planning, layout, and ensuring compliance with all building codes and safety standards.
Comfortable with the demolition and installation of a wide range of HVAC equipment, such as furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps (air source and ground source).
Maintain accurate records, including job completion documentation, parts used, and customer communications.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site to ensure system performance.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure understanding and satisfaction with installation work.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of HVAC installation experience, EPA Certification required.
Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment, tools, and procedures.
A broad knowledge of the refrigeration cycle.
Sheet metal fabrication experience with an understanding how to balance air flow requirements while maintaining aesthetically pleasing workmanship.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems on-site independently.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ability to pass comprehensive background check

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills, with experience managing installation teams.
Journeyman certification or on path towards journeyman.
NATE certification or equivalent HVAC certifications.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy (50+lbs) equipment and tools as necessary.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, ladders and variable weather conditions.
