Headlands Preparatory School has an opening for a Math/Science Teacher (6th-12th) to join our campus in Sausalito beginning immediately. Headlands Preparatory School is a small private school offering one-to-one and small group classes for middle-school and high-school students. We use a Mastery Learning model to ensure that all students are successful and offer UC-approved courses including honors and AP classes. We are located in a beautiful waterside location in Sausalito.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Provide instruction to students in a 1:1 and/or small group setting.
Evaluate student progress in courses taught, keep appropriate records, and report student progress to proper administrators.
With the assistance of the administrative team, identify student needs and work toward fulfilling those needs.
Create and maintain a suitable learning environment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain professional competence through participation in professional development opportunities.
Participate in departmental activities.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (a teaching credential is a plus, though not required)
Teaching/tutoring experience
Enthusiasm and positive spirit.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with students with learning differences (ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.)
