Position: Part-Time/Full-Time Litigation Attorney

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Hours: 20-40 hours per week (flexible, full or part-time)

Note that trial appearances are not necessary for this role.

Requirements:

New Graduates: Welcome to apply if you have excelled in Contracts/Contract Disputes and are currently studying for the Bar.
Experienced Attorneys: Also encouraged to apply.
California Bar: Studying for or already received your California Bar License.
Litigation Skills: Strong grasp of civil litigation procedures.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Westlaw, CEB, Outlook, e-Filing, Adobe, and Excel.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous and self-reliant with a strong work ethic.
Availability: Flexible availability of 20-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

As a Litigation Associate at Phelps Law, you will:

Conduct legal research
Draft pleadings, motions, and respond to discovery requests
Prepare case files for trial
Participate in some video court appearances
