Posey Lebowitz PLLC is growing. We are searching for a smart, organized, dynamic junior attorney to join our litigation boutique. Our firm practices in the areas of plaintiff's-side personal injury and commercial civil litigation. This role will be responsible for assisting with cases from inception through trial and will involve significant hands on experience in the pre-litigation and discovery phases of our cases.

Our ideal candidate would excel in legal research, organization, and communication with colleagues and clients. Responsibilities include management of ongoing personal injury matters, drafting pleadings for matters in litigation, organizing discovery efforts, research and evaluation for new cases, and other aspects of civil litigation. The job involves assisting with cases from inception through trial. A great deal of interaction with individual clients is required. We expect that a motivated junior attorney will learn a great deal in this rewarding area of legal practice and obtain significant hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Pre-suit preparation of cases for settlement
All aspects of litigation including preparation of pleadings, discovery, and assistance at trials
Legal research and briefing
Client relationship management

Qualifications

A law degree (J.D.) is required
Current or pending admission to one or more bars of D.C., Maryland and/or Virginia
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A desire to learn and excel in plaintiff's personal injury and civil litigation
