CDL Delivery Driver Class B - Rice Lumber Company Shelburne, VT

Qualifications :
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Valid CDL Class B license (preferred) with a clean driving record.
Previous delivery experience and experience driving a boom truck (preferred).
Industry experience and/or knowledge of job-site processes used in the construction industry (preferred).
Physically capable of lifting 80 lbs, working outside, and being on your feet in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet varied and conflicting organizational demands.
Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented and accurate.
Commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
Willingness to support and assist others in load building to increase efficiency and customer experience.
Reliable and responsible to work without constant supervision.
Responsibilities:
As a Delivery Driver at Rice Lumber Company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:
Safely operate our delivery vehicles by adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and securing of products.
Prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup with accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition; keep vehicles clean and orderly.
Seek opportunities to maximize travel efficiency and deliver materials in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate delivery records and complete any required paperwork or documentation.
Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, providing exceptional service at all times.
Collaborate with the warehouse team and Operation Leadership to ensure accurate order fulfillment and expedient deliveries.
Willingness to take on additional responsibilities, challenges, and duties as required.
Work an 8-hour shift Monday - Friday. During Summer Hours (April - November), work two Saturdays a month from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
