Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Embedded Firmware Design Engineer at Right Weigh, Inc.

Product Development

Design embedded firmware based on product requirements
Design and implement GUI and keypad/display type user interfaces
Understand electrical schematics for existing products to fix issues and/or to add new firmware functions to existing designs
Help define and execute tests to validate product features
Participate in research and development discussions

Maintenance

Update firmware
Provide solutions and feedback for customer reported issues as well as new feature requests
Provide input for product documentation

Testing & Quality Control

Bug testing & quality control
Help debug and improve firmware functions used for manufacturing
Technical Support and Customer Service
Maintain competitive knowledge of Right Weigh products and their functions
Problem-solve customer technical service issues and coach staff in problem-solving techniques as needed

Cross-Team Interaction

Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Purchasing, Customer Success, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities

Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Debugging skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
