Purpose of the job

To serve our customers with industry leading quality and delivery performance by developing and implementing welding processes, ensuring the highest quality standards (ASME, AWS, & ISO), and improving manufacturing efficiency in our sheet metal departments.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Develop and optimize welding processes for the production of refrigerated and heated display cases
Conduct welding tests, inspections and operator certifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve product designs and manufacturing methods
Troubleshoot welding-related issues and implement corrective actions (i.e. tools, welding fixtures, and training)
Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices and safety procedures
Maintain and update welding documentation, including process standards, instructions, and quality records
Stay current with advancements in welding technology and industry trends

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in welding engineering or a similar role
Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding
Strong knowledge of welding standards, codes, and safety regulations
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
