Role Description

This is a temporary (10 to 12 weeks) role for a Legal Secretary / Paralegal located in San Diego, CA. The Legal Secretary / Paralegal will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as preparing legal documents, filing in state and federal court, preparing pleadings, discovery and correspondence documents, managing documents in Relativity, our e-discovery platform, assisting attorneys, and maintaining the firm's calendaring items management. The role requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, and a strong understanding of legal processes.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Law and Legal Document Preparation
Experience in e-filing in California Superior Courts (San Diego in particular) and Federal Court
Preparing pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence
Strong Calendar Management skills, including legal calendaring for hearings and deadlines
Experience with Relativity or other e-discovery platform is preferred, but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and independently
Experience in business and corporate litigation is a plus, but not required

This is a temporary assignment for 10 to 12 weeks, but we are flexible with schedules and whether the job is in-person, remote, or hybrid.
