Description

URGENT: Year-round hiring for qualified ODOT Project Inspector in the Cincinnati Ohio are with asphlat and paving experience. This is a fulltime position and will require night work for this project.

If you are a motivated person with heavy highway construction inspection experience this might be your ideal job. Certification is required.

The Project Inspector will be responsible for:

Inspection of various roadway and bridge projects
Oversight of the contractor's quality control operations
Quality assurance sampling and testing
Daily communication with the client, contractors, and field project personnel
Use survey instruments, metering devices, tape measures, and test equipment such as nuclear density gauges, air meters, and slump cones to perform inspections.
Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
Measure dimensions and verify the level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades, and/or pavement to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
Compile and submit field reports
Previous inspection experience

Requirements

Required Education and Certification/s must meet one of the below:

· HS Diploma or GED

Current diver's license

Previous inspection experience (1600 hours)

AND

Highway testing certification including but not limited to:
ACI Concrete Field Testing-Grade I
ACI Aggregate Testing Technician-Level 1

Ohio Aggregate Level 1

AND one of the following certifications

ODOT Flexible Pavement
ODOT Traffic Work Zone Test
CUF (Complete ODOT Commercially Useful Function) Training
