Upsher Personal Training is a private gym in the West Hollywood hills. We offer gym reservations, 1 on 1 personal training, and online programs. Role Description

This role is a part time on site role for a Personal Trainer. You will be conducting 1 on 1 personal training sessions and will be on site to be a resource clients. When working in 1 on 1 personal training sessions you will be expected to know how to listen to clients goals and incorporate that into building a program for them. You will need to instruct and demonstrate proper form to make sure clients are safe. Being able to motivate clients is very important to their overall success. We are currently looking for 2 personal trainers, with the opportunity to become the head personal trainer and receive increased compensation and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Current CPR certification.
NCCA Accredited primary Personal Trainer Certification.
A degree in a related field is preferred but not required (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Physical Education, Nutrition, Fitness Specialist, etc.).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Personal Training experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting heavy weights, squatting, reaching, spotting, prolonged standing, and walking. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

Hourly Pay: $20 per hour for monitoring the gym during reservations.
Commission-Based Training: Trainers earn 65% of the session fee (our standard rate is $100 per session (rates flexible), resulting in $65 per session for the trainer).
