Since opening its doors in 2004, Va de Vi has been attracting diners to the East Bay with an eclectic global small plates menu paired with an extensive and impressive wine list. Celebrated by both guests and critics, the restaurant earned local acclaim upon opening, landing on The Bay Area’s Top 10 New Restaurants and receiving a notable three-star review from Michael Bauer. Va de Vi continues to uphold this legacy with a #1 standing in the community on TripAdvisor. More recently, Va de Vi received a 2024 award from the Yelp Elites and was honored as one of the Top Places to Eat in the Bay Area.

Va de Vi is seeking a Sous Chef who is passionate, adaptable, and excited to contribute to the success of an independent restaurant. Staying true to its international small plates concept, the menu is chef-driven and features microseasonal changes. Ideal candidates should bring a collaborative mindset, strong managerial skills, and a commitment to maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.

Compensation includes competitive base salary in the $70-$80k range, 20% bonus, health benefits, parking, and paid time off.
