Bread & Butter Orthopedic Surgery Locums Job in Northern Illinois Local Coverage for Average of One Week or 1-2 Weekends/Month Starting February
Jackson and Coker's valued client in northern Illinois is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon (preference on semi-local to avoid flights) to assist with long weekends and/or up to one week per month of coverage starting ASAP. Regular monthly weekend coverage needs starting on Friday at 7AM through Monday at 7AM, but has also navigated requests for 5-7 day stretches at a time on a quarterly basis (allowing for vacation, family time, holidays, etc.).
Anticipated Schedule:
If just covering weekends/long weekends, will primarily take call + assist with emergent (some possible scheduled) procedures
If covering a 5-7 day at a time, the facility would prefer you to also be open to assisting with clinic patients
Orthopedic Surgery Locums Job ID :
Must have an active & unrestricted Illinois license & CSR
Active Board Certification and/or true eligibility required
Fellowship training is preferred but not required
Seeking candidates within driving range to Rockford, IL area
Seeking candidates that can assist with 1-2 weekends or long weekends (Friday, 7AM start - Monday, 7AM end) and/or 5-7 day stretches at a time
Prefer candidates who have some-what flexible schedules
Scope of coverage: must be comfortable with full gamut of bread & butter orthopedic surgery to include total joints (knees, joints & hip replacements)
100% Adult + Geriatric patient population, no peds whatsoever
Volume: between 15-20 PPD between clinic, surgery + call coverage
Facility details: located about 2 hours outside of Chicago, MediTech EMR, 100+ bed facility, not a designated trauma location
Current staff: Two Orthopedic Surgeons currently on staff + 2 Ortho specialized NPs (will have a 1:3 call rotation)
NPs take call with Orthopedic Surgeons + assist in the clinic/surgery setting
