We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Labor & Employment practice group. This role will be essential in supporting our attorneys with complex litigation matters, managing case files, assisting in discovery, and preparing for trials and arbitrations.
The ideal candidate has experience in employment litigation, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to case management. This is an opportunity to work closely with top litigators in a fast-paced, high-stakes legal environment while making a real impact in the lives of employees who have been wronged in the workplace.
Your Role and Impact
Case Management & Investigation:
- Participate in client and witness interviews, fact-gathering, and investigations.
- Conduct background searches, public records research, and arbitrator bio summaries.
- Analyze evidence, prepare chronologies, timelines, and case summaries.
Litigation & Discovery Support:
- Assist in managing large document collections and eDiscovery, utilizing platforms such as Relativity.
- Perform complex searches, document review, and data analytics.
- Prepare draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal filings.
Trial & Hearing Preparation:
- Organize and prepare trial materials, including witness prep binders, exhibits, and demonstratives.
- Attend and assist attorneys at trials, hearings, and arbitrations, including using digital presentation tools.
- Assist with deposition preparation, including categorizing testimony and summarizing key points.
Case Coordination & Filing:
- Collaborate with court reporters, law clerks, eDiscovery vendors, and external legal support services.
- Manage filing and e-filing procedures, ensuring compliance with court requirements.
- Work closely with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure efficient case progress.
Your Skills and Expertise
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in labor & employment law or a related practice area.
- Proficiency in eDiscovery tools and legal research platforms.
- Ability to manage case files, track deadlines, and maintain meticulous records.
- Experience preparing trial materials and assisting attorneys at hearings and arbitrations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and third parties.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of anticipating needs.
