Key Responsibilities of the Litigation Legal Assistant:
- Assist attorneys in preparing personal injury cases, including drafting legal documents and organizing case files
- Manage client communication, schedule appointments, and collect necessary case documentation
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, and trial preparations
- Conduct legal research and assist in case strategy development
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Maintain attorneys' calendars, track case deadlines, and ensure all case-related details are accurately documented in legal management software
Qualifications of the Litigation Legal Assistant:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury litigation
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, court filing processes, and legal terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
