Project Manager Job Description
This position is based in Hobbs, NM. Qualified candidates must be able to make the commute or be willing to relocate.
Tasman is seeking a qualified environmental professional to fill an Oil and Gas remediation project manager position. This Project Manager position is intended to fill a key role in the Tasman engineering and consulting group to support ongoing remediation and scientific projects for an existing Tasman client with several site locations in the Rocky Mountain Region. Tasman is building upon previous successful execution of a wide range of environmental and remediation - focused projects for this client and seeks to increase the number and type of project opportunities in the future.
The candidate will be expected to support all aspects of client and project management, including but not limited to:
· Client management and continuous interfacing with the client stakeholders.
· Engage in, and take over, management duties of existing projects.
· Execute projects while working within restraints such as regulatory frameworks, SOPs, budgets, and schedules.
· Proactive development, scoping, and costing for new projects.
· Preparation and submittal of project deliverables across multiple regulatory agencies.
· Work directly with Tasman resource groups to engage appropriate support and technical input to complete project work.
· Engage with project staff and build a dedicated team to support various project requirements.
· Work closely with Tasman Oil and Gas to support construction-focused project execution.
· Administrative activities such as budget tracking, accruals, cash flow forecasting, and invoice review/submittal.
· Learning and use of client-specific online coordination tools.
· Understanding of, and adherence to, strict procedural and health and safety requirements established by the client as well as Tasman’s expectations.
· Attendance of various client sponsored safety meetings.
· Work with Tasman Health and Safety to ensure that project personnel adhere to client safety requirements and procedures and that employees are adequately trained or informed.
· Monitoring for and identifying changes in client procedures and/or training requirements and ensuring that changes are adequately communicated to project personnel.
· As appropriate/necessary manage the hiring, training, and management of team resources.
This role may range between a “Junior” level to “Senior” level project manager, depending on the previous training and experience of the successful candidate. These factors will support development of the specific tasks, expectations, and performance metrics for the candidate and correspond to the applicable salary offering.

Qualifications:
· Proven experience in project management, preferably in a field-related discipline.
· At least 6+ years of relatable industry experience
· Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
· Familiarity with equipment and material management in a field setting.
· Comprehensive understanding of job duties, SOP requirements, and H&S regulations.
· Demonstrated ability to coach and train staff, with a focus on continuous improvement and professional growth.
