Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team in delivering exceptional resident care. This role requires a proven leader with strong management experience and expertise in skilled nursing and long-term care. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing high-quality care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture. 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in skilled nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring high standards of care.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to nursing staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Title 22 and CMS guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure a seamless continuum of care for residents.
- Manage staffing levels, schedules, and recruitment to maintain adequate coverage.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Conduct quality assurance programs to continuously improve patient care services.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (Required).
- Minimum two years of nursing management experience (Required).
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living (Required).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing and long-term care.
- Ability to mentor and support nursing staff in a collaborative work environment.
- Previous DON experience a plus.
- Must be available for occasional weekend coverage.
