Payroll Manager
A growing multi-location retail company in Vernon, CT is looking for a Payroll Manager to oversee multi-state payroll for 900+ employees. The Payroll Manager will implement new payroll processes, ensure compliance, and work with HR on employee compensation.

Compensation:
$85,000 - $100,000
Payroll Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, deductions, and bonuses.
- Maintain payroll records and reports, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Manage payroll system implementation and upgrades, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, and tax regulations, and prepare payroll audits as needed.
Payroll Manager Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- Payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paycom, UKG, Workday, etc.) and Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
