Electrical Controls Engineer
The Electrical Controls Engineer will be the subject matter expert for instrumentation and controls, supporting both operations and project engineering. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving electrical and controls issues, commissioning new control systems, and developing standards and guidelines for automation and electrical infrastructure. This role will also lead and review electrical and controls scopes of work, oversee contractor activities, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls
- Expertise in troubleshooting instrumentation, panel wiring, and programming variable frequency drives
- Vendor Management Experience
- Expertise in Electrical Controls Engineering and looking for leadership in this area as well.
- Setting up and programming control system
- Selecting hardware for control panels
- Low voltage control and high voltage experience
- Troubleshooting control related issues
- Proficiency in reading ladder logic, electrical diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Experience with Highway Addressable Remote Transducer devices, process measurement, and PLC programming (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Familiarity with Motor Control Center, power distribution, and NEC/NFPA 70 standards
- Ability to travel 35% for project support - mostly day travel
