Benefits & Leave Administrator
Are you a detail-oriented HR professional with expertise in benefits administration and leave management? We are seeking a Benefits & Leave Administrator to oversee and manage all aspects of health and welfare benefit programs, pension administration, 403(b) plans, and compliance. This role also includes vendor management, workers' compensation, and leave-related programs.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, pension, 403(b), and COBRA.
✔ Manage leave policies, including FMLA, NYPFL, ADA, and Workers' Compensation.
✔ Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits, retirement plans, and leave management.
✔ Conduct new hire benefits orientation and communicate updates to employees.
✔ Oversee wellness program initiatives and tuition reimbursement.
✔ Maintain compliance with ERISA, PPACA, ACA reporting, OSHA filings, and other labor laws.
✔ Prepare and manage open enrollment processes for union and non-union employees.
✔ Work closely with the CHRO on benefit renewals and cost analysis.
Qualifications:
✅ Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required; Master's preferred.
✅ Experience: 5+ years of recent experience in benefits administration and leave management (Human Services experience preferred).
✅ Skills: Knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, NYPFL, ADA, OSHA, and other federal/state labor laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS (preferably ADP WFN, including report writing).
✅ Certifications (Preferred): CEBS, SPHR/PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP.
