Radar Systems Engineer / 60731
Salary: $130,000 - $175,000, based on experience.
We are seeking an experienced Radar Systems Engineer to join a leading company revolutionizing airspace safety with advanced radar and remote sensing technology. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement cutting-edge sensor systems and algorithms for real-time drone detection and monitoring. As a key team member, you will shape system architecture, mentor engineers, and drive innovation in aerospace technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement radar, direction finding, and surveillance sensor algorithms.
- Lead system architecture design for new hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, RF, and digital engineers).
- Conduct design reviews, validate system capabilities, and ensure product quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Model sensor performance using MATLAB or Python.
- Apply state estimation, data fusion, Kalman filtering, and DSP techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in radar systems, communications, or aerospace.
- Expertise in radar systems, state estimation, data fusion, Kalman filtering, and DSP.
- Proficiency with analytical tools like MATLAB or Python.
- Ability to work collaboratively and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred:
- Experience with machine learning/AI in aerospace or defense.
- Background in antenna modeling and communication systems.
- Proven track record in leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams.
