The Quality Inspector will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process to ensure quality and reliability of blades and blade sub-components. This position is specifically for the Weekend Warrior Shift with shift differentials for weekends and overnight shifts.
Responsibilities:
Identify defects impacting Defects per Unit (DPU) and First Pass Yield (FPY) metrics, collaborating with Production and Technical Support to resolve issues.
Handle non-conformances (NCs) and assist factory personnel in containment and disposition of non-conforming products.
Ensure processes are followed to bring products back into conformance during non-standard work events.
Inspect materials for defects, create non-conformity reports, and coordinate rework.
Provide independent quality approval for processes not involving the inspector.
Facilitate Form, Fit, and Function testing for products and write NC reports.
Act as the primary point of contact for quality concerns and escalations.
Verify product requirements and compliance with quality control systems before release.
Compile and communicate daily quality reports at morning meetings.
Ensure proper handling and quarantine of non-conforming materials in the MRB area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Four years of manufacturing experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with quality assurance, statistical analysis, SPC, and Six Sigma preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Pay:
Pay range: $25.50 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience (Technician 1 to Technician 2).
Shift differentials: $3 for weekends (Fri-Sun Days) and $6 for overnights + weekends (Fri-Sun Nights).
