Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- PPE Requirements: Safety Shoes / Boots
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated capability in cost analysis
- Proficiency with SAP
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging with site leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
- Experience communicating with senior management and organizational stakeholders
- Ability to create detailed reports and deliver presentations
- Autonomous with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Commitment to accuracy in data management and process improvement
Description:
The Plant Cost and Asset Controller is responsible for managing and delivering detailed cost analysis at the manufacturing site level. This role supports site management in controlling inventory, assets, and spare parts while improving cost management practices.
The Plant Cost and Asset Controller will collaborate with various teams, including Finance, Operations Control, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and others, to ensure effective cost classification and reporting. This position will also focus on cost optimization, investment management, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Enable site leaders to analyze monthly cost trends and assist in maintaining costs within the assigned budget
- Facilitate site-level efficiency programs to help meet cost optimization objectives set by site management and Ops Control
- Oversee cycle counts and the biannual physical inventory count in accordance with Internal Control standards
- Provide detailed monthly analysis of inventory, mobile asset, and spare-parts consumption, offering explanations for deviations to entity Finance and Ops Control managers
- Implement standardized processes to manage and oversee spare parts consumption effectively
- Collaborate with site management, Ops Control, and the Investment Director to review the realization of expected benefits for on-site investments
- Monitor profitability of company products at the site level and review exception reports from SAP to ensure data quality
- Work with Finance and Ops Control to ensure accurate cost allocation across cost centers and assess variances
- Lead the development of reporting metrics, tools, and perform complex ad hoc analyses
- Partner with site leadership to increase cost awareness and engage people from all levels of the site
- Develop detailed reports and present findings to management
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and offer insights to enhance decision-making processes
