Job Title: Director of Engineering
Location: Bothell, WA
Compensation: $150K starting, + bonus

They are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Engineering to lead their engineering team, optimize manufacturing processes, and drive innovation aligned with business objectives.
Position Overview:
The Director of Engineering will oversee engineering efforts for multiple product lines, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. This individual will play a crucial role in product development, process improvements, and strategic planning.
Reporting To: VP of Engineering
Team Size: 15-20 engineers and technicians
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for new product research, development, and manufacturing optimization.
- Oversee engineering efforts, ensuring high quality and cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct ROI analyses for new tooling and equipment investments.
- Drive process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prioritize engineering projects based on business impact and profitability.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of engineering experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proven track record of organizational improvements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SolidWorks.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience leveraging product management systems.
- Hands-on experience with various hand and power tools.
- Background in water/wastewater, pipe manufacturing, or related industries (preferred).
