Must Haves:
- Experience with Splunk.
- 3- 5 years experience in splunk development including Scripting, and splunk Dasboard development and implementation knowledge
- Splunk Enterprise including the deployment, instrumentation and leveraging of the tool for analytical and alerting capabilities
- A good knowledge of:
- Dynatrace
- Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as Tivoli, Microfocus BPM, Sitescope, Dynatrace, Catchpoint etc.
- Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services,
- Able to process, monitor, shell scripts, etc.
- Experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET)
- Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
- Proven experience in N-Tier architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.)
- Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes
- An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role
- A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual with strong leadership skillsA strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality .
Day to Day:
We are currently looking for 3 experienced Splunk and Dynatrace Engineers to support multiple Splunk Dashboard rollouts supporting Payment applications dashboards. You will be joining a team of 16 individuals globally. The main responsibilities will be scripting, designing, testing, and implementing Splunk dashboards. Having hands-on experience with JavaScript can be a big advantage for this role.
Other responsibilities will be:
Rollout of Dynatrace as the strategic monitoring tool across banking applications, replacing AppDynamics. SME for GBAM monitoring tools that form part of the global monitoring strategy.Monitoring setup for Applications on Cloud and Containers infrastructure.Lead the deployment and integration of new monitoring tools across the GBAM organization and applications.
Host demos, overviews and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams, preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools (presentations, operational manuals etc.).
Liaise with regional technical leads in the planning and scheduling of deployments. Consult with the local teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential and use of monitoring tool. Preparation of regional reporting of monitoring tools adoption and other related data points and other relevant metrics. Participate in global discussions on the continuation and evolution on global monitoring strategy. Drives application event-based automation.
