Akkodis is seeking a Controls Engineer position with a client located in Rochester NY. Must hold Electrical Engineering degree to be considered. Will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated control systems for machinery and processes, using software and hardware to optimize efficiency, performance, and safety, often involving tasks like system analysis, programming PLCs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards; essentially, they create and manage systems that monitor and regulate industrial operations to achieve desired outcomes.
Pay/Salary Range $80k-$110k
Controls Engineer responsibilities include:
- Electrical panel design using AutoCAD drawing software
- PLC process control programming using Allen-Bradley, RSLogix 5000
- HMI (Human Machine Interface) programming with Rockwell FactoryTalk, Wonderware or iFix
- Direct support of clients with new and existing systems
- Control system commissioning as part of a startup team at client locations throughout the U.S
- Writing code for PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), and other control devices to implement control logic
- Developing control system architecture, selecting hardware components, creating control logic diagrams, and designing user interfaces.
- Setting up control systems on-site, connecting sensors and actuators, and performing thorough testing to ensure functionality.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues within control systems, performing routine maintenance, and updating software as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum One years related experience
- Experience with Allen-Bradley is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel, is required
