Full Stack Engineer opening - Computer Vision Startup
(Ideally 60% front end and 40% backend. Depending on your preference you could be as much as 85% front end or 60% backend).

The company's product involves computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, and manufacturing.
The company has raised series B funding and has 4 years of runway. Revenues are rapidly growing (have been increasing 2-3x per year for the last few years). The company has about 35 employees and 15 engineers and is expecting to hire about 6 engineers this year.
In this position you would be working with a tech stack that includes React, Node.js, and TypeScript. The company doesn't require expertise in any particular technologies as long as you are willing to learn what is needed.
The company will pay salary up to $250k, plus equity which could be lucrative.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with React, Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Designing and developing features for a first of its kind computer vision platform.
- Identifying new technologies and best practices for the growing engineering team.
- Improve client and server-side site performance.
- Improving visualizations for the outputs of computer vision models running on video streams and images.
- Ensuring that platform features work at an ever-growing scale.
- Working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly autonomous environment.
- Thinking creatively and coming up with suggestions about new features.
- Utilizing direct access to customers to iterate on your features based on their feedback to design and build a better product.
Qualifications:
- Strong in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong in either Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or C#. Willing and able to learn (if necessary) and primarily work with Node.js.
- Skilled in React or another JavaScript framework.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to fully design, build, and write tests for new features.
- Very comfortable moving across the stack.
- An eye for design and an understanding of what can make a user interface more intuitive and delightful.
- Smart, analytical, fast learner who is comfortable learning unfamiliar languages or technologies.
Nice to have:
- Expertise with React.
- Startup experience.
- Experience building computer vision, video, data visualization, or machine learning products.
