Automation Engineer
THIS ROLE IS ONSITE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. FULL RELOCATION PACKAGE PROVIDED
A global biopharma company is seeking a proactive Automation Engineer to join their manufacturing facility. In this role, you will support automation systems, focusing on PLC programming for brownfield projects in a GMP environment. You will work with the automation systems, troubleshooting, maintaining, and ensuring the systems meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain automation and control systems that monitor and control facilities, utilities, and manufacturing processes.
- Support troubleshooting, testing, and validation of automation systems.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support to manufacturing and facilities teams to resolve deviations and quality issues.
- Track and evaluate trends or issues within control systems in collaboration with quality, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Assist with the design, procurement, installation, and startup of new or modified control systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and GMP standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing support during weekends and non-business hours when needed.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Automation Engineering within a GMP environment (Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Food, etc.).
- Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming, preferably with Rockwell systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of FDA, EMEA Regulatory requirements, and GAMP guidelines.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, SCADA systems, and electrical systems (120VAC, 480VAC).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience working in team-oriented environments with the ability to manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and implement continuous improvement processes.
Additional Information:
- This is an onsite role, Monday to Friday.
- A full relocation package is provided for selected candidates.
