Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer in the San Diego office. Under the guidance of the Project Managers and Group Leaders, you will be providing direction and oversight on a variety of civil engineering tasks, leading projects from initial concept to preliminary engineering, and from final design through construction. You will be leading the engineering work and exercising independent judgment with a team of Assistant and Associate-level engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Execute engineering tasks for the planning, design and construction of transportation projects
- Oversee detailed roadway designs, design calculations, technical reports, and PS&E for transportation facilities
- Coordinate with internal disciplines, utility companies, subconsultants, resource agencies and clients
- Oversee project progress and budget/expenditures
- Perform quality control and establish BMPs for work products
- Direct and mentor engineering associate and assistant engineers, technicians and interns in their work
- Support marketing and proposal efforts
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocal license within 6 months.
- 10+ years of transportation project experience after graduation.
- Must have 10+ years of experience in Roadway Design & Engineering
- Success in delivery of PS&E bid packages for transportation projects
- Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a team environment
