The Role
We're seeking a versatile Full Stack Engineer to help build our core user experience. This is initially a contract position with strong potential for full-time conversion based on performance and project milestones. Ground-floor equity compensation awarded upon contract conversion to FTE. Conversion opportunity contingent on performance evaluation.
Location: San Francisco preferred (relocation to NYC possible later in 2025)
Key Responsibilities
- Building responsive web interfaces supporting text and voice interactions, graph visualizations, fast search interfaces
- Translate data generated by our relevance engine into user-centric layouts and visualizations
- Implement integrated feedback mechanisms to support our learning-to-rank system
- Strengthen and optimize our real-time audio streaming API
- Construct user-specific storage and account management
- Collaborate with the team on architecture decisions and technical roadmap
Requirements
- 3+ years of full stack development experience with React SPAs
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and Pub/Sub technologies (e.g. Redis)
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization systems
- History of RESful API development and maintenance on cloud services (GCP preferred)
- Knowledge of real-time audio processing a plus
- Track record of building production-quality applications
Nice to Have
- Experience with voice processing and audio streaming
- Knowledge of legislative or regulatory data structures
- Background in UI/UX design and development
- Experience with embedded AI agents in applications
- Built with typesense or elasticsearch in the past
- Firebase authentication and storage
