Job Summary: Provides technical and administrative leadership for a medium to larger team of engineering personnel.
Essential Functions:
- Managing and leading a team of 7+ employees
- Leads planning and tracking of engineering activities including risk assessment, budgetary performance, and program timing.
- Identifies opportunities of improvements in engineering practices to obtain increased operational efficiencies.
- Reviews and approves engineering records
- Interviews and selects new personnel
- Conducts performance reviews including individual employee development goals and disciplinary actions
- Participates in development and ensures adherence to QMS Policy
- Provides technical and administrative coaching and mentoring for engineering personnel
- Required to work extra hours and travel to meet Customer needs
- All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as deemed n necessary by Supervisor
- Process Owner for Engineering Product Design and Development
- Competency Level 3 includes all advanced understanding of the processes and functions as they
- relate to the position as determined by the leadership team and ensure department managers
- and their direct reports are complying with system requirements for OSHA, IATF16949 and
- ISO14001 compliance.
- Knowledge of customer specific requirements

Required Education and Experience:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Good management and leadership skills
- Good computer proficiency
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- May be required to have proficiency in languages other than English
- BS or MS (preferred) in engineering or equivalent
- 10 years of related experience or equivalent
