We are seeking a skilled Project & Validation Engineer – HV Battery Systems to drive high-voltage (HV) battery hardware development and validation for automotive applications. This role involves managing engineering deliverables, coordinating with suppliers, optimizing battery hardware design, and executing validation plans for battery packs and components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in HV batteries, testing, and supplier collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
High Voltage Hardware Development:
- Drive engineering deliverables for HV battery projects.
- Manage the development of HV battery hardware with suppliers.
- Optimize battery hardware design, including circuit analysis and thermal management.
- Coordinate activities within the Energy Storage System (ESS) release, validation, and vehicle teams.
Design Validation & Testing:
- Own and execute the Design Validation (DV) Plan for HV battery packs and components.
- Develop and manage validation plans for battery assemblies and sub-components.
- Support testing at supplier facilities, ensuring compliance with validation requirements.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and propose corrective actions.
Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with suppliers for HV hardware development and validation testing.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including design, validation, and vehicle integration teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years in HV battery development, validation, and testing.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of HV battery circuits, thermal optimization, and testing procedures.
- Supplier Management: Strong experience coordinating with suppliers for development and validation activities.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in battery hardware and validation processes.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
