Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field of engineering
Ability to obtain a secret clearance
3+ years minimum of experience handling composite materials and manufacturing these materials into all forms of fixtures, tools, and inspection gages to facilitate fabrication and assembly
Understanding of Aerospace composite manufacturing methodologies
Experience in designing molds, assembly fixtures, machining fixtures, and other tooling used for composite processing
Experience with manufacturing process improvement
Knowledge of design/drafting and experience with modeling languages like Solidworks/Catia/SolidEdge, etc
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Autoclave and Press Molding Experience

Job Description
A client in the Seattle, WA area is looking for a Composite Manufacturing Engineer to join their team locally supporting aerospace production and space vehicle design programs. The Composites Manufacturing Engineer will be required to formulate conceptual designs of challenging, complex aerospace products to meet all customer system requirements. This candidate will be on the ground, working in an aerospace component and composite manufacturing environment daily. They will be working with technicians to design, fabricate, test, and implement fixtures, tools, and inspection gages to facilitate the fabrication and assembly of products. This candidate will be well versed in CAD design/drafting processes and techniques, including exposure to different modeling languages (including CATIA, Solidworks, Autodesk, Solid Edge, etc). Candidate will be working on technical design for a large part of their work day and must have a strong familiarity with complex bills of materials, sequence of assembly, selection of required equipment, solving production problems, analyzing current manufacturing planning processes, and designing/reviewing necessary tooling.
This role will be 100% onsite in Huntington Beach, CA. Pay Range: 100K-145K. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
