Scope of Role: The Support Services functions at the client are carried out by a diverse team of professionals who share a commitment to the client's mission. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Department is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and reliable individual to join as a Senior Financial Analyst. This role reports to the Director of FP&A and involves annual budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and overseeing the work of the Financial Analyst.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creation and monitoring of the annual budget, focusing on revenue and OTPS expenses.
- Mastering budget templates in Adaptive Insights and training Analysts.
- Preparing forecasts by analyzing past trends and accounting for future changes/additions to programs.
- Variance reporting and analysis, comparing actual results with prior year data, budgets, and forecasts.
- Running reports across multiple financial and reporting systems like NAV and Adaptive Insights.
- Developing new reports in Adaptive Insights and assisting in Office Connect reporting.
- Gathering data and preparing deliverables like FTE reporting, and effectively presenting results to leadership.
- Conducting ad-hoc reporting and analysis, reconciling financial and payroll data, and working with large data sets.
- Delegating and overseeing the work of Analysts.

- Financial Analysis skills: Knowledge of analyzing financial statements, preparing budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Data Analytics skills: Proficiency in working with large datasets and ability to analyze, summarize, and present data findings.
- Reporting skills: Ability to generate and modify reports across financial and reporting platforms like NAV, Adaptive Insights, and MS Excel.
- Mentoring: Ability to mentor and train team members.
- Business Acumen: Ability to comprehend business needs for reports or analysis and present findings clearly to aid decision-making.
- Communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues and managers at all levels.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Master’s preferred).
- 5-7 years of proven experience, with an understanding of Medicaid and Grants desired.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to business owners.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, creating models, and using advanced formulas.
- Knowledge of Adaptive Insights, MS Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Advanced Navigator (NAV) helpful.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data with strong attention to detail.
