Inventory Manager Job Description
We have been retained by a well respected Family-owned and operated since the 1940's, that specializes in wholesale distribution of poultry, beef, pork, and seafood. The organization is known as one of the most reliable distributors in the industry. The company delivers six days a week throughout the Chicagoland area, maintaining a strong commitment to quality and customer service. This is a leadership position where you will assist in implementing new technology to assist with inventory turn and to maxemize profitability.
Key Responsibilities of the Inventory Manager Role:
- Develop/improve inventory control processes for receiving, material handling, and shipping
- Lead implementation of product scanning as part of overall inventory control process improvements
- The Inventory Manager will help ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
- monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
- Help buyers analyze data to anticipate future needs
- The Inventory Manager will collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
- Report preparation for management on stock levels, issues etc.
