X-Ray Technician
Experience success from day one as an X-Ray Technician at a Pleasanton, CA facility that will equip you to succeed! On top of a $55-$58/hr pay rate, you will also enjoy a welcome orientation with a personal shadowing experience to help you acclimate to the facility. Enjoy a top-of-the-line EMR system to simplify care and a comfortable atmosphere to make your impact as an X-Ray Technician. Key responsibilities include assisting with patient positioning on the procedure table, using the fluoroscope as directed by the doctor, assisting patients off the table, cleaning the table, printing x-rays, and documenting radiation exposure. This position is for one day a week, Thursdays, for a trial run of one month.

MORE ABOUT THE X-Ray Technician POSITION:
CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this X-Ray Technician opportunity include, but are not limited to:
- Performing a variety of duties in an operating room observing proper techniques to include preparing rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment; opening sterile supplies and arranging sterile setups for operations.
- Assisting the surgical teams during operative procedures as instructed to include passing instruments to surgeon or surgical assistants and counting sponges, needles, and other supplies used during operations.
- Assisting the circulating nurse in preparing the patient for surgery; assisting in positioning the patient in the prescribed manner; assisting in moving the patient onto a wheeled stretcher from delivery to the recovery room upon completion of the operation.
- Maintaining records, reports, files, or other information on appropriate forms as required.
- Assisting in the cleanup of the operating theater following surgery to include the appropriate disposal of used supplies and sterilization of instruments; monitoring and restocking supplies.
- Providing direction and guidance in scrub and circulating methods and techniques to students.
- Selecting and preparing the appropriate supplies and equipment for surgical cases. Operating surgical equipment.
- Demonstrating empathy and concern for patients and understanding of treatment.
- Attending department/hospital meetings as required and assuming responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
- Adhering to location and company policy and procedures as well as established HIPPA confidentiality standards.
- Maintaining safe and clean work areas, adhering to established AST standards, and complying with all infection control, universal precautions, and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
- Maintaining positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, patients, family members, and hospital personnel.
- Reporting to work at the time designated by the client hospital.
- Projecting a positive and professional image at all times. Adhering to client facility’s dress code and performing other tasks or duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE X-Ray Technician:
- Certification with the Liaison Council for Surgical Technician, preferred
- Graduate of an approved medically based and/or certified program in Surgical Technology
- Current BLS certification
- Successful completion of an approved Surgical Technology program
- Participation in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to Surgical Technology
