POSITION TYPE: Year Round
WAGE RANGE: $75K-$80K annually DOE
POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the resort Finance department. The position is primarily responsible to oversee financial processes in support of the resort operations and assisting the VP Finance with ongoing needs. This position supports the annual budget, forecasting, monthly close/reporting, and is responsible for ad-hoc analysis. The ideal candidate is motivated, self directed, comfortable presenting and working with employees at all levels of the company in a fast-paced work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESGeneral Responsibilities: G&A Financial Support and Oversight:
- Prepare, Review and Distribute monthly P&L reports.
- Collaborate with budget owners on review and analysis of results.
- Prepare monthly consolidated reporting package for senior leadership team, including commentary and analysis.
- Lead and participate on monthly management financial review meetings.
- Participate in monthly financial soft close review.
- Collaborate with accounting on adjusting entries, reclasses and general accounting process.
- Facilitate annual planning and budgeting process.
- Develop and improve financial reporting tools and processes.
- Analyze variances from forecasted plans, report results, and recommend solutions.
- Provide analytical support for annual plan reviews, target setting and other initiatives.
- Facilitate month forecasting process.
Ad hoc Financial Analysis:
- Provide financial analysis for budget owners and senior leaders to support corporate initiatives and business development efforts.
- Collaborate with ongoing Merger and Acquisition activity.
- Benchmark resorts and other businesses.
- Industry research
- Ad hoc financial modeling and data requests as required.
Job Specifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Finance or equivalent. English reading, writing, communication
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis and leadership
- Physical Demands:
- Move at will, up to 8 hours of paperwork, sedentary, Lifts paperwork items up to 35lbs rarely not daily and assistance is available. Hazards are snow/ice conditions.
- 100% inside worksite. Will use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation. Sensory skills of hearing, vision, and touch needed.
- This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
