Structural Engineer
Location: Minnesota
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the production of construction documents, ensuring the application of structural engineering principles.
Perform accurate and complete structural analysis of framing and foundations. Generate structural calculations and utilize 2D and 3D analysis software where appropriate.
Assist with project construction administration. Respond to contractor questions and RFI's, review structural shop drawings, and assist with site observations.
Possess a basic understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering construction practices.
Coordinate design and construction with both internal and external stakeholders, providing technical support and work direction as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
3-5 years' experience in structural engineering.
Graduate from an accredited Civil Engineering Program with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Adaptable and agile, responsive to quick changes in direction.
Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural design is required; a Master's degree in structural engineering is a plus. PE registration is preferred.
