We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support the delivery of essential rehabilitation services to individuals with various physical disabilities and conditions. This role is crucial for assisting in patient mobility, reducing pain, and improving overall physical function. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to implement effective treatment plans and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in community-based settings.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists.
Perform therapy interventions, such as exercises and therapeutic activities, to improve patient mobility and manage pain.
Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and report findings to the supervising physical therapist.
Educate patients and families on post-therapy exercises and care routines.
Administrative:
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation to track progress and treatment efficacy.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure cohesive and effective patient care.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Must hold a current license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, practices, and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Basic computer and internet literacy for maintaining electronic health records.
Previous experience in a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
