FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Nights onlyPay: $23.89 - $37.03 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Summary:As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, IV set up and delivery of maintenance IV fluids, specimen collection and wound care.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Assists with patient discharge and admission activities.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and reactions to interventions. Implements the plan of nursing care and communicates abnormal findings to RN team lead.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:- Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program
- State licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- IV certification
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
