RESPONSIBILITIESMarket Development Representative - Identifies and researches potential market share expansions and new service opportunities.
- Negotiates terms of service with principal parties.
- Maintains awareness of competitor activities and customer needs.
- Conducts and analyzes market surveys.
- Explains tariff and service agreement provisions.
- Supports market and service projects.
Sr Market Development Representative - Identifies and researches potential market opportunities for existing LNG supply and infrastructure and for the development of additional LNG assets.
- Negotiates contracts with principal parties, including end-use customers, contractors, suppliers, and marketers.
- Prepares and delivers presentations on projects and various LNG asset developments/supply/sales opportunities.
- Analyzes competitor strategic intent, capabilities, competencies, and business or financial drivers, to provide conclusions and implications.
- Coordinates project teams as projects are initiated and developed, including internal and external resources as needed, to manage and deliver results.
- Back-up for LNG marketers for existing and potential customers for sales of LNG, focused on maritime customers.
- Maintains customer relationships. Identifies opportunities to increase sales/profitability with new and existing customers.
- Prepares written and verbal proposals.
- Supports negotiations of contracts with principal parties, including end-use customers, equipment manufacturers, contractors, suppliers, equipment users, pipelines, marketers and landowners.
- Maintains awareness of customer activities and needs and communicates/coordinates activities.
QUALIFICATIONS Market Development Representative - Technical understanding of natural gas service offerings (3-5 years of experience).
- Proficiency with personal computer.
- Demonstrated leadership, teaming, initiative, customer service, technical knowledge, judgment and innovation.
- Ability to speak persuasively and develop rapport.
- Ability to define problems, collect data and draw conclusions.
- Ability to write and develop presentations.
- Ability to plan and organize work.
Sr Market Development Representative - Five years' directly related experience, with minimum three years gas marketing experience and complete understanding of market drivers.
- Technical understanding of company and competitor natural gas service offerings.
- Knowledge of pipeline operations and tariffs.
- Knowledge of business information research, analytical methods, and statistics.
- Highly proficient with personal computer applications, especially databases and spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated leadership, teaming, initiative, customer service, technical knowledge, judgment and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities, resources, and time.
- Ability to manage large quantities of data (define problems, collect data and draw conclusions).
- Ability to speak persuasively and develop rapport.
- Ability to write and develop presentations.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting assignments.
- Effective investigative and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education
Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
