LPN Residential Care
FT evening shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm with e/o weekend
- Assists in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment that respects resident rights.
- Administers medications, transcribes orders.
- Intervenes with residents in an high acuity residential respite setting
- Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
- Provides nursing care based on the resident’s treatment plan, under the supervision of the registered nurse.
- Assists the resident with activities of daily living, encouraging independent behavior, when appropriate.
- Provides education as directed on health related topics
- Uses safe and appropriate de-escalation/restraint techniques when needed.
- Schedules appointments with physicians and other healthcare providers
- Accompanies residents to appointments
- Administrative duties such as assisting with staff scheduling
Requirements:
- Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing.
- Current Maryland state licensure as a practical nurse.
- One year experience in medical-surgical nursing, with one additional year of psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a stressful environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team format.
- Knowledge of Child and Adolescent psych preferred.
- Ability to pass a crisis intervention program that includes physical restraint.
Starting pay based on experience and qualifications.
Evening, Overnight, and Weekend shifts pay an extra shift differential per hour!
