The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Warehouse Manager to help us launch and run our new Clinton Distribution Center to support our growing customer base. As a Warehouse Manager, you’ll work with our warehouse team to assemble the outbound orders for the week - this is mainly a pick and pack operation. You'll also be in charge of managing the day to day operations, coordinating our warehouse employees, and receiving and organizing new product shipments. Should the site expand to make deliveries, you also may be occasionally called upon to make Wild Pastures deliveries to our awesome customers.

- Manage all day to day operations for the facility and is able to work onsite in Clinton, AR.
- Manage and supervise a team of warehouse employees in the frozen fulfillment center. Fulfillment services provided are both B2B orders consisting of building pallets for bulk shipments and D2C orders which consist of building orders for customers.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory utilizing an ERP/WMS.
- Monitors expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed.
- Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
- Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
- Replenishes stock and inventory as needed, and ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse, transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule.
- Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse; coordinates transfer of inventory between departments, collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
- Enforces operating instructions and safety policies, resolves routine equipment issues.
- Has forklift certifications and safety knowledge.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for supervising a team of warehouse employees.
Competencies
- Passionate about our mission of supporting regenerative agriculture by expanding the market for grass fed and pasture-raised meats.
- Is “tech savvy” with things like ERPs, WMSs, Google Sheets, Slack, phone apps, and other web based software.
- Has the ability and willingness to handle some heavy lifting. Some of our products arrive in 50 lb boxes. We make great use of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, but there is still some lifting required. Also, some of our customers with large families regularly have 40+ lb deliveries.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant warehouse experience required, including inventory management, warehouse supervisory experience, and management of a storage warehouse or 3PL.
- Experience with WMS or ERP.
- Has a drivers license and clean driving record.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Associates Degree or above preferred.
- 5 years of order fulfillment experience preferred.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
- Experience with cGMP preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The employee is primarily working in a warehouse environment, between 0 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit. The noise level in the warehouse can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. Work may be performed under hazardous conditions such as operating heavy equipment within the Warehouse. Required to wear all issued safety gear at all times.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position requires lifting heavy objects, walking, sitting and standing for long periods of time. Performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions such as cold. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively bends, crouches, twists, sprints or throws objects. The employee must climb and maintain body balance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift supplies that weigh up to 40-50 pounds, and to bend and stand as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Candidates must be available to work 40+ hours a week, when needed. Quality of life is a core value of our company, and our 90+ employees can testify that we typically only work 40 hours per week. That said, our supervisors may have to plan for the unexpected and the occasional weeks in excess of 40 hours.
