Description:
Overall responsibility for the daily operation of an assigned number of retail locations in a set geographical area, ensuring uninterrupted service and promoting a positive customer buying experience. To provide supervision, guidance and leadership to station managers and their staff. Responsible for the results of the store success month over month and year over year.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the interviewing and hiring of Station Managers, Assistant Managers and Sales Associates, as needed.
- Provide training of Station Managers, encouraging independent, effective operation of retail facility.
- Administer disciplinary action, performance reviews and termination of Station Managers (and their staff as required).
- Consistently work to reduce employee turnover in territory, contributing time and energy to assist Store Managers throughout the employment process and after hire.
- Troubleshoot employee issues at the station level; promoting employee retention.
- Apprise Human Resource Manager of significant employment related issues in a timely manner.
- Supervise Station Managers within territory to ensure effective completion of all essential functions of their position, providing guidance and assisting in troubleshooting as required.
- Oversee adherence to all budgets for store locations in territory including budgeted hours.
- Supervise changes in, or installation of store equipment, striving to maintain uninterrupted service at all times.
- Assist Station Manager in the investigation of discrepancies and work to solve problems related to shortages/overages, etc.
- Complete special projects as assigned by Retail Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Must possess a working knowledge of all C-Store operations and equipment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be willing to submit to full background check including pre-employment drug screen
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a multi-unit responsible role
- Willingness to travel
- Flexibility to work 50+ hours per week
- Preference will be given to those already possessing a Food Service Manager certification. Must be able to obtain certification if not already in
